ARCH is proud to have played a part in the development of West of Duddon Sands Wind Farm. Throughout 2013, ARCH provided safety training to workers involved in the pre-assembly of the turbines at Belfast Harbour and offshore construction in the Irish Sea. The wind farm which is 20km off the Barrow coast, is now fully operational and is expected to generate enough electricity to meet annual demand from approximately 280,000 homes. During the assembly and construction phases, operations at Belfast Harbour were managed round-the-clock, which ensured the 108 turbines and foundations were installed and commissioned in record time.
