Course Overview

The MATS Initial Basic Tower Climbing and Rescue – Revalidation course is designed as Refresher training for any person required to climb on masts or towers or for existing climbers who wish to renew their tower climbing and rescue certification.

Our MATS Initial Basic Tower Climbing and Rescue – Revalidation course reviews all of the essential elements of the three day MATS Initial Basic Tower Climbing & Rescue course.

Tower Rescue training is a designed for people who working on masts or towers to rescue another climber.  The course will train delegates to safely rescue a casualty to the ground.  The course can be tailored to the type of rescue equipment used by the participants in their work environment.

This course conforms to MATS requirements and is Arqiva approved for the Gateway access scheme.

ARCH certificate valid for 1 year from assessment date.  A Tower Rescue Refresher and Climbing Competency is valid for one year and must be revalidated annually.

Admission Requirements

Those attending work at height and rescue training should be medically fit to carry out the practical part of the course and free from medical contra-indications that may prevent them from working safely at height (A list of conditions that could affect work at height is available on request). Course participants will be required to self-certify their medical and physical fitness before commencement of the course.

Participants should be aged 18 years or over.

Available Locations

Training is delivered in Northern Ireland at Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh or Shannon Airport training facilities.  ARCH also delivers training at clients locations across Ireland, UK and international locations for group bookings on request.  Contact ARCH office to discuss your requirements.
